Growing up comes with its own unique set of challenges, and sometimes young people need extra support to navigate the complexities of their world. I specialize in working with children and teenagers through a variety of life experiences, always meeting them exactly where they are.
Areas of Focus
I have particular expertise in supporting girls with ADHD, understanding the ways ADHD can present differently in girls and often go unrecognized. We’ll work together to develop strategies that honor their unique strengths while building skills for the areas that feel challenging.
Life transitions can feel overwhelming at any age, but especially for young people. Whether your child or teen is navigating divorce, blending families, moving to a new home, starting at a new school, or facing other major changes, we’ll work together to help them process these experiences and develop resilience.
I also provide compassionate support for children and teens experiencing grief and loss, helping them understand and express their feelings in ways that feel safe and natural to them.
My Approach
With younger clients, I find that creativity and play are essential tools for healing and growth. These approaches allow children to practice team building, develop emotional regulation skills, and build confidence in a natural, enjoyable way. I’ve found these methods work beautifully through telehealth too—sometimes even better than traditional in-person sessions!
The teenagers I work with still have the option to use creative and play-based approaches, but many prefer traditional talk therapy methods. I let them guide our sessions based on what feels most comfortable and effective for them.
